How to remove pet stains
Finding the stained areas
Sometimes finding pet stains are almost as hard as removing
them. You can smell the pet odor in the air but you just can't seem to
find the stain. Over time stains can fade but the pet fecal or urine
matter can remain in the carpet an carpet backing. If you have a rough idea where
your cat or dog is going then you're already ahead of the game, if not monitor
your cat or dog after they have eaten.
Use the stain finding black light included in
the kit.
Once you have a rough idea where your animals are going to the
bathroom cover the windows in the room and get the room as dark as possible.
If is preferable to do this step in the evening to block out as much light as
possible. Take the black light included in the Pet Stainoff kit and run
it along the floor about 4 inches from the carpet. Any pet fecal or
urine matter will give off a light glow.
Marking the stained areas
With masking tape, mask around the stain leaving a 6 inch gap
between the masking tape and edge of the stain. Repeat this process
until you have taped around all the stains in the room. Remove any large
fecal matter before applying the solution.

Mixing the Pet Stain Off
Next it's time to mix the Pet Stainoff to the exact dilution
ratio. Using measuring cups mix 1 part Pet Stainoff with 4 parts water as hot as you can get it from the tap.
Mix the product to exact dilution ratio
For our example we will be mixing 1 cup water with 4 cups Pet
Stainoff. Make sure the water is as hot as you can get it from the tap
because it will cool rapidly when it is applied to the carpet. Once the
product is mixed pour the product using a funnel into the applicator bottle
included with the kit.
Applying the product the the carpet or surface
To apply the solution first pour the Pet Stainoff mixture into
the applicator bottle included in the kit using a funnel. Adjust the
spray nozzle on the applicator bottle to produce a stream of solution by
turning the red tip of the sprayer. Apply the solution to the carpet
working from the outer edges of the stain to the center of the stain.

bottle included in the kit
Cover the stain with a warm towel
Once the carpet is fully saturated soak an old towel (one that
you will never use again) in hot water so the towel is fully saturated.
Place the towel over the stain inside your marked area.
Cover with a warm towel to keep the enzymes
working
The reason we place the warm towel on the stain is to keep the
enzymes active by keeping them warm. Re-soak the towel in hot water
periodically and reapply to give the enzymes the opportunity to work
Cleanup
After 18-24 hours remove the towel and masking tape and
allow the carpet to dry.
Once the carpet is dry the stain and odor will be gone.
